Marielle Young is a Filipina-American actor, producer, and teacher based in New York City. She also works in L.A. and Chicago. Most recently, she shot an episode of The Equalizer on CBS and originated the role of Jenny in the world premiere of Lauren Yee’s Young Americans at Portland Center Stage and Pittsburgh Public Theater.

Marielle guest starred on television opposite Donnie Wahlberg and Jennifer Esposito on Blue Bloods on CBS and opposite Mary McDonnell, G.W. Bailey, and Tony Denison on Major Crimes, the spinoff of The Closer on TNT. She was also on The Blacklist on NBC and Bonding on Netflix.

She has worked at theaters all over the U.S. including Portland Center Stage, Pittsburgh Public Theater, Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival, The Acting Company, Chester Theatre Company, Capital Repertory Theatre, Kitchen Theatre Company, and more. She has developed new work with or been part of world premieres by Lauren Yee, Kate Hamill, Will Arbery, Lauren Gunderson, Nightdrive, Clubbed Thumb, Ensemble Studio Theater, Ars Nova, and more.

Marielle produced theater at the New York International Fringe Festival and the Fringe Encore Series. She teaches acting and Shakespeare, and coaches auditions — privately and at Fiorello H. LaGuardia Performing Arts High School at Lincoln Center.
